Interpretation of the Female Factory Historic Site is provided in various forms.  A permanent interpretation is on display in Yard 1, designed by artist Sharyn Woods.

Trained tour guides provide further interpretation to large and small groups.

Our recent publication, Footsteps and Voices:  An historical look into the Cascades Female Factory, available at the site shop, provides an in-depth interpretation of the site when it operated as a female factory.

More on-site interpretation facilities are planned, particularly those using the arts as a medium for interpretation.
