The Crowds

Over 800 people attended the Female Factory Muster on Sunday, 7 November 2004 held at Cascades Female Factory Historic Site in Hobart.

The Launch

The launch took place in the marquee at 12 noon.  Senator Kay Patterson officially opened the muster (admitting to being descended from a female convcit) and Dr Sally Cockburn (aka 'Dr Feelgood') was MC.  Professor Lucy Frost and Christopher Downes launched Footsteps and Voices, Dr Trudy Cowley launched the Female Family Founders Database, Phillip Tardif launched the CD ROM of Notorious Strumpets and Dangerous Girls and Jennifer Line launched the Metal Rajah Quilt.
